Dubai ranked first in several important categories, in the Global Power City Index 2023.

The city leads over other metropolises in the world in terms of: cleanliness of the city, labor flexibility, low unemployment and a favorable income tax system.

The index ranks major cities on their ability to attract people, capital and businesses, assessing six categories – economy, research and development, cultural interaction, living conditions, environment and accessibility.

In the overall ranking, Dubai is among the top 10 in the world. Its neighbors in are first-place London, as well as min. New York, Tokyo, Paris, Singapore, Amsterdam and Seoul.

Dubai is leading the way in its region and is the first city in the Middle East to make it into the top 10 of the index, and the growth momentum of the Pride of the Emirates means that the metropolis will soon be on the podium.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, welcomed the news on Monday and praised Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, for his “vision to consolidate Dubai’s global leadership.”
